I made a huge batch of chilli this weekend in a new pot (well not new my ma's been using it for years) i used about 9 cans of tomatoes (mix of plum and diced), 4 cans of mushroom bits and stems, 6 cans of beans (both japanese smalls and kidney), 3 cans of crushed pimentoes, and 4 pounds of pork and of course cumin and hungarian paprika. I simmered it for 4 hours until it smelled and tasted beautiful then took it off but when i served it it was sitting in some dense liquid that looked like dirty dishwater
